About Me

Hello, I’m Olivia! I am a second year Advertising student at the University of Florida. I was born and raised in South Florida. I love to take photos, go thrifting and listen to podcasts.

Through this website, I hope that you’ll learn more about myself and the projects I’ve done to prepare for a career in Advertising.  The purpose of this website is to not only to give you a glimpse of what I have done professionally but also to give you an idea of who I am.

Here are some writing pieces I’ve completed.

A few months into my first year of college I decided that I wanted to start a blog about college. Much to my dismay I quickly realized that the college niche in the blogging world was supersaturated. As a result, I stopped writing blog posts about college and started a YouTube channel since video content is popular right now.

Despite my college blog being a failure, I still learned how to create a brand and most importantly how to write organically. If you are interested in viewing some of my old posts, please head to the blog tab of this website.

Sunday Morning SWEET CHI Pancakes

At my internship with aha Pure Foods, I wrote a recipe blog post using one of their products. This is one of my first few experiences writing for a company. I decided to create a recipe to integrate one of its products into a blog post for the company blog.

Social Media

I am currently at the social media manager for the University of Florida Office of Precollegiate Education and Training. As the only social media manager for the office, I am responsible for writing all posts for Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Being that the office is one run by people within academia and science research, I often have translated their thoughts and ideas into something that anyone could understand.

At the same time, I also have to make the posts as appealing as possible as I am responsible for increasing social media engagement.

As a result, I have created posts like these:

I have been taking photos for seven years. I have much experience editing photos in both Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, where the following images were edited. I have used both Nikon and Canon DSLR cameras, though I’m currently using a Cannon to take all of my photos.

aha Pure Foods

The following photos were for my internship at aha Pure Foods where I learned to communicate a message through a photo for social media.

This is aha Pure Food’s Sweet Chi soup against a background of flowers.
The flat lay above was taken specifically for the brand’s social media pages. For this reason, three different products are displayed creatively with props in the photo.

Spoon University

For holiday’s photographers at Spoon University were tasked with taking themed photos. For Valentine’s day, I created a heart out of Hershey’s Kisses to photograph.
Each week photographers in the student organization were tasked with photographing certain foods. This photo is the result of the week I was tasked with taking photos of apples.

Graphic Design

I have done some graphic design work for both clients and myself.

I used Adobe Illustrator to create a logo for a client’s team at work.
I created this logo for my blog with Adobe Photoshop .

Below is a video I edited using clips I filmed for my YouTube Channel.
